On Saturday, Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Matt Gaetz (R-Fla. ) held a campaign rally in Waco, Texas and publicly criticized Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley. Gaetz criticized Haley's foreign policy agenda, claiming that she wanted to "kick all the world's bullies with heels" and to start "new wars behind every Middle Eastern sand dune". Greene dismissed Haley as a serious candidate and said that no one else had a "list of names" like Trump does. *
At the rally, former President Donald Trump, who was in attendance, responded with "the more the merrier" to Haley's official launch, though he has been relatively tame in his criticism of her. Other potential Republican contenders include Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, former Vice President Mike Pence and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
The rally was unconnected with the 30th anniversary of the federal siege in Waco which disbanded cult leader David Koresh's compound.
